"photography is the silent poetry of light."π·π«Ά
Photography is the art, science, and practice of capturing images using light.π This is typically done with a camera, which can be digital or film-based. The camera records images by focusing light onto a light-sensitive surface, such as a film or a digital sensor, which then creates a representation of the scene.π·
Photography serves many purposes, including documenting events, telling stories, expressing creativity, preserving memories, and communicating ideas. It spans various genres, including portrait, landscape, street, wildlife, fashion, and documentary photography.π
Advances in technology have made photography more accessible, allowing almost anyone with a smartphone or camera to capture and share images. Despite this accessibility, photography can also be a highly skilled and technical art form, involving knowledge of composition, lighting, exposure, and post-processing techniques to produce compelling images.π»

This is my favorite photo of all the photos I took. One day when I went to visit Ruwanwelisaya in Anuradhapura with my parents, I took a picture because of the beauty of this stupa lit by electric light in the evening.
The Ruwanwelisaya is a significant stupa (a large dome-shaped Buddhist structure) located in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Built by King Dutugemunu around 140 B.C., it is one of the most important and sacred sites for Buddhists in Sri Lanka. The stupa is known for its massive size, white dome, and its rich history as a symbol of the island's ancient civilization and Buddhist heritage.

This is the most interesting photo in my photo collection. This is a photo I took when I was at my friend's house for vacation, when I went to the lake with her and her father to pick lotus flowers.
The beauty of a lake lies in its serene, mirror-like surface that reflects the sky, trees, and surrounding landscape. Its stillness brings a sense of peace and calm, while the gentle ripples created by a breeze or a passing fish add a soothing rhythm. The clear water often reveals the life beneath, from fish gliding by to the swaying of underwater plants. Whether it's the vibrant colors at sunset or the misty calm of early morning, a lake's beauty captivates with its tranquil and ever-changing nature.

The sky on a full moon day is a mesmerizing sight. The moon, fully illuminated, shines brightly, casting a gentle, silver light across the landscape. The sky around the moon often appears deep blue or even slightly purple, with fewer stars visible due to the moon's brightness. The full moon can create a magical, almost ethereal atmosphere, making everything look softer and more serene. It's a night where the moon becomes the focal point, commanding attention and inspiring a sense of wonder.

This is my favorite photo of all the photos I took. I got this while studying. A friend of mine brought me a wild flower and I placed it on the table in each pose and took a few photos. Among them, I felt that this photo gave the most different interpretation. Here, a light bulb is visible through the flower, but the special feature here is that it appears in the form of a sadaka.

This photo stands out among the ones I have taken.
The Awukana Buddha Statue, or Awukana Pilimaya, is a massive standing Buddha statue carved out of a single granite rock, standing about 12 meters (40 feet) tall. It dates back to the 5th century during the reign of King Dhatusena. The statue is located near the ancient city of Anuradhapura and is one of the finest examples of ancient Sri Lankan sculpture, depicting the Buddha in the asisa mudra (a gesture of blessing).

This photo is my favorite and the most beautiful photo in my photo collection. My favorite place to go is the sea. Whenever I feel sad, happy, lonely or stressed, the sea is my favorite place to spend time. I took this photo when I went with friends. This is the Nilaveli beach located in Trikanmalai area which is one of the most beautiful and attractive beaches in Sri Lanka. Due to its attractiveness, a large number of people come here to see its beauty.

I took this photo on a two-day picnic with my family. Sigiriya, which is ranked ninth among world heritage sites, is a creative construction.
Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress located in the central part of Sri Lanka. It is also known as the "Lion Rock" because of the large lion's paw carved into the rock near its entrance. Built in the 5th century by King Kasyapa, Sigiriya served as a royal palace and fortress. The site is famous for its impressive frescoes, well-preserved gardens, and sophisticated engineering, including a complex water management system. Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of Sri Lanka's most important historical and archaeological landmarks.
