Development communication means using media (radio, TV, posters, social media, etc.) and interpersonal communication (talks, meetings) to bring positive change in areas like health, education, agriculture, environment, and rights.


🔹Main Goals of Development Communication:


1. Informing – Sharing useful information with people (e.g., about health, farming, or jobs).  

   Example: A radio program teaching farmers new methods of planting.


2. Educating – Helping people understand issues clearly.  

  Example: Videos about the importance of girls’ education.


3. Motivating– Encouraging people to take action.  

  Example: Campaigns urging people to use clean water.


4. Participating – Giving people a voice in development.  

 Example: Community meetings to decide on village projects.
